An article in the Japan Times indicates that Olympus will soon replace top management, following the accounting scandal that has been widely publicized recently.

What I find most interesting is the announcement that they may end up partnering with Fujifilm, Sony, or Panasonic.

Olympus makes some great lenses for Micro 4/3.  The 45mm f1.8 is a shining example.  Even though Olympus lenses already work fine on Lumix bodies, I can only imagine enhanced capability if Panasonic and Olympus were to join forces.

I won't speculate on the rumored Olympus Micro 4/3 camera that is supposed to be styled after the classic OM series; plenty of others are doing that.

I will say that I have a few old Olympus film rangefinders (SP, SPn, RC), and like them all.  Olympus has always made unique cameras with excellent optics.  I would welcome their pedigree to the Panasonic brand!
